Prayer: 

  • Prayer is an integral part of what we do. 

  • Our team will have people praying for them while they serve.

  • Our team will pray together before and after each session

Deaf Influence:  

  • As often as possible we have a Deaf interpreter as part of our team for any worship or scripted content.

  • When making a decision, we rely heavily on the Deaf members of our team and/or the Deaf leaders in attendance. 

  • We encourage events/conferences to consider a Deaf leader as a future speaker for their event.

Diversity/Representation:  

  • We try to reflect the diversity of the stage in our interpreting team.

  • ALL social justice conversations involving race we aim to have a person of color interpreting.

  • This often requires travel for interpreters who bring greater diversity to our team (If the event budget allows)

Feedback & Evaluation:  

  • During all interpreted segments, unless you have a different assignment, we encourage you to be making observations in a notebook.

  • We use the SWOT approach to evaluate all events that we serve.

Developing Interpreters:

  • We want you here. 

  • We want to see you thriving in this field. 

  • We want to see you equipped to interpret in the Christian setting, growing in your personal faith and providing access for the Deaf/HH community to grow in their faith.
