At Sonshine Interpreting, our heart is simple — to make sure Deaf believers have full access to worship, teaching, and community.
We believe every person should be able to encounter Jesus without barriers. Our mission is to provide excellent, Jesus-loving interpreters for events, music, and media that equip Deaf people for life and ministry. These questions help our team prepare with excellence, ensuring Deaf attendees can fully engage and be impacted by your event.
A little preparation goes a long way. These questions help interpreters prepare and serve with excellence:
What is the dress code for this gathering?
Are there special parking instructions or check-in locations?
Which meals will we need to cover on our own?
Are there gatherings outside of scheduled sessions?
Can we receive the overall schedule & meeting locations?
Will the event be using the Planning Center online platform?
If yes, please assign: admin@sonshineinterpreting.com
If not, what will you be utilizing for shared schedules?
Do you plan to have any Deaf presenters?
Do you have any Deaf/Blind or Deaf/Low Vision attendees or presenters?
Will there be any workshops/seminars/breakout sessions?
If yes, please share information regarding topics, times, and locations.
Please communicate to the presenters that they will be working with a Sign Language interpreter, and to help prepare them for interpreter placement, and to send any slides or outline of notes.
