I'm Dreaming of a Clear Interpretation: Navigating the Snowy Slopes of Christmas Carols!

This virtual workshop will be lead by a Deaf worship leader. This workshop will give opportunity to demonstrate how to interpret songs in a conceptually accurate way in church setting. During this workshop, participants will learn new conceptual ideas in interpretation of Christmas Carol songs through the lecture, demonstrations and hand-on activities. 

 

The workshop will explain three different categories of songs; hymns, praise/worship and performed songs. This will be addressed and concepts will be explained with examples. After all of three categories has been explained, the participants will do some hand on activities in small groups and develop glossing the songs. Once they developed it, they have the opportunity to perform the glossed songs. After the workshop, the participants will leave with their knowledge on how to analyzing Christmas Carols songs.
